Hey guys, if you've ever read one of my news posts, this is the one to read.
Check it:

As it turns out, I'll be unemployed after the end of the year. Which means my incoming flow of money will soon wither away and cease to exist. This is a terrible thing.

It's no secret that my update schedule has always been a teensy tiny bit on the inconsistent side. Let's face it, that Archives page is in pretty poor shape. Now, I can't blame my employment entirely for the lack of comics, but it's definitely made enough of a contribution. When I get some free time between sleeping, work, and school things, making comics is usually trumped by playing games and doing bud things with my buds. But in light of my impending financial doom, there exists a glimmer of hope--not only for the sake of my wallet, but also for a more regularly-updated Nuclear Delight: you.

However romantic or naive it may be, I've decided that I'd like to try my hand at being employed by you, the fine people of the Internet. I'm not going to beg for money (yet), and of course Nuclear Delight will always be free for you to enjoy as it always has been and always will be. However, I intend to add some venues through which you can support me with money so I can keep living and doing my thing, if that's what you choose to do.

First and foremost, you may have noticed a new "Store" link on the main menu. If you haven't yet, go ahead and take a look. It's there. So far there's not much on that page, but I'm just getting started.

What's there right now is the first of what I intend to make into a monthly donation package. For a price that's totally, completely, one-hundred-percent up to you, you'll be able to nab the goodies included. At this point I'm planning on each package to contain four items: three super-cool wallpapers for your putie (available in a plethora of resolutions) and an awesome bonus comic. Each package will be available forevers, but a new one will be added every month. The wallpapers included will consist of one holiday-themed design which will change each month, one seasonal-themed design which will change every three months (with the exception of a new winter wallpaper available beginning in December), and one randomly-designed wallpaper. The bonus comics will be short side-comics, inspired by Emily's guest strip from this Nuclear Delight comic. In celebration of the launch of this side-strip, this month's random wallpaper design is based on that debut guest strip.

[For these packages, I just want to quick point out that the donations go through PayPal, who take a cut out of each transaction received. Now, they are donations and their worth is entirely up to you so I can't stop anyone from giving a 1-cent donation, but rest assured that penny won't make it to me.]

Moving on: I've talked about it before but never followed through with it, but one of the things I hope to add very soon is a store which will feature some shirts and posters and such to decorate your body and/or home with. I've got some ideas brewing, but if there's something in particular you'd like to see, be sure to let me know! While your idea may not see the light of day, there's definitely no harm in planting the seed.

A final thing I'd like to start doing is commission pieces. Want me to draw you a pretty picture? Toss some financial support my way and I'll be happy to oblige. I'll probably open this up at some point next month, once the current semester's workload starts simmering down.

Don't want to do any of that stuff? Something that's easy for everyone is to let the ads on my site live. This means that if you use something like AdBlocker on your browser, it'd be swell if you could whitelist Nuclear Delight. I know, ads aren't the prettiest things in the world, but even something as simple as letting them be there will help me out.

Money isn't the only help you can provide, either. Even if all you do is share Nuclear Delight, that's a big contribution itself. Show it to your friends. Show it to your friends' friends. Then get to know them, and share it with their friends as well. Get creepy with it. If you like what you see, let other people like it, too! And don't forget that Nuclear Delight has this fancy-schmancy Facebook page.

I'm really, really hoping that between these efforts, I'll be able to keep my head above water. Not only would that be great in and of itself, but I think we can all agree that we'd be much happier to see more Nuclear Delight. If I'm able to sustain myself on the money I make from my art, that means I'll be able to spend more time on my art, which means more comics! If I'm able to focus my energy on making comics rather than finding employment elsewhere, I really don't see why I wouldn't be able to get back on two updates per week. Everyone wins, and all it takes is some money-love.

The normal Nuclear Delight content that we've all been enjoying thus far will obviously always be free. And any money that you give me will be met with something that I will give you. Relying entirely on the generosity of mysterious internet folks is a huge leap of faith, but it's one that I'm ready to try. And if this works--man, I'll be so happy, you guys. You don't even know. With your help, I can turn my unemployment tragedy into the only job I could ever really want.

Thank you for your continued support, in whatever form it may take!
